Cheating is taken very seriously at the University of Arkansas.  It is important to know exactly what constitutes cheating with clickers so that you don’t inadvertently commit a serious offense.

Clicker activities that represent cheating and a violation of the Academic Integrity Code are as follows:

  • Bringing another student’s clicker to class to answer questions for them.
  • Allowing another student to bring your clicker to class in an attempt to get points when you are not actually in class.
  • Looking up answers to questions on your phone, in your textbook, or from other sources while answering questions in class, unless specifically allowed by an instructor.
  • Adding another student’s clicker ID to your account in an attempt to receive points for questions that they answered.  Not only is this a violation, but it will not work.  If two students in a class have the same device ID, there is an error reported to the instructor and neither student receives points.
  • Answering questions using the PointSolutions mobile app from anywhere other than the classroom unless specifically allowed by the instructor.
