Did you find a cool video on YouTube that’s relevant to what you’ve been discussing in class? Did your instructor ask you to find a video for an assignment? Read below for simple instructions on how to embed a YouTube video.
- Log in to Blackboard at learn.uark.edu.
- Open the Blackboard Learn Ultra class where you want to add the YouTube video.
- Browse to the assessment or discussion where you want to share the YouTube video.
- Click within the text box, and then click + to add content.
- Select YouTube Video from the drop-down menu.
- Search for a video to embed by typing your search terms in the search box, then click the Search button.
- Click Select next to the video you want to add.
- From here, you can change the Alternate Text as well as Display Content. You’ll have the options to choose whether you want your video to be shown as a link or to be directly playable in the submission. If displaying the video is not allowed by the browser, it will instead display as a link.
- Click Insert when you’re happy with your settings, or click Back to Results (bottom left, in blue) if you need to choose a different video.
- You can continue to edit your submission once the video is embedded in your assessment. When you are ready to finalize, click the Submit or Reply button, and you’re done!
